The Remnants—WarEngine Fanzine
The latest issue of The Remnants, a WarEngine EZine is out. The article I was most intererested in was one on using WarEngine for Lord of The Rings, which includes stats for just about everything you can think of. The most interesting part, though is hidden in the Oddz and Endz section at the end. It turns out that a planned game called Soldat, which was supposed to use the Shockforce Engine has been canned. Dances With Emutants writes:
recently there have been a few problems from the designers in regards to casting and other problems. This has caused a delayed in the game. And as you have no doubt also heard on TMP the game was going to be delayed even further. Then of course BME (Big Mean Elf) got himself banned from TMP, and he was one of the co-creators and sculptors for this game. Now I have gotten some more bad news as the game itself will not be produced using the WarEngine license. That is not unless something drastic happens. The game may finally see light of day, I just don’t know when, and most likely not as a WarEngine licensed product.
