Historicon 2005 Photos
I attended Historicon 2005 on Saturday to take some pictures and do some shopping.
The convention was much as it was the previous year—and the ones before that: well-attended, with lots of really good looking games. Based on my one day there, I thought that there was a trend toward more World War II games, but may just have been that day’s scheduling. I also saw more 54mm games than I can remember.
The Saturday afternoon flea market seemed less well-attended, but again, that may just have been the luck of the draw for me. I didn’t find anything there to buy.
In the dealer room, I bought the new Fire and Fury Napoleonic Rules from Brigade Games and met Lon Weiss—nice guy. I also got a copy of Larry Brom’s Sword and the Flame variant for Plains Wars from Lori Brom. She said that Larry missed the convention due to a move, but was in good health—so if you missed him, don’t worry. And finally, I got a copy of the Valor, Steel and Flesh rules for the Paroom Station miniatures from the London War Room.
