Wierd War Tales is a free expansion for Two Hour Wargames’ Nuts system. Covering all of the previously unknown aspects fo teh Seocnd World War, including the involvement of rocket troops, zombies and vampires, it looks like a lot of fun.
Blight of the Living Dead is a set of free wargames miniatures rules for a fantasy zombie slaughter fest. It’s designed for the publisher’s one inch floorplans, but can be used with any floorplan sets you have, or adapted for use with rulers.
The Slann Old Ones site has a pdf download for a skirmish game / scenario for use with Warhammer called Return of the Plastic Dead. In it, a group of Empire soldiers have to fight off hordes of undead while visiting several locations around the table to pick up the artifacts needed to defeat the Necromancer.

Revenge of Cthulhu is a work in progress from Target:Earth games. Target Earth writes:
Revenge of Cthulhu is a fast playing, tabletop wargame, with simple to learn gameplay, a rich selection
of units, powerful dark magic, evil beasts, and a novel ‘Luck’ system that allows a player to change the tide of the game and turn a defence into a counter! The game can be set anywhere, but a common setting for most games are the still unexplored jungles of South America and mysterious peaks of the Andes, where lost cities, priceless treasures and long forgotten gods sleep restlessly.
The current trend toward hybrid roleplaying miniatures game has been a lot of fun. I’ve played fun games that feature pirates, African safaris, Victorian street gangs, and of course, my own horror games tend in that direction.
Bump In The Night is a free RPG that I think could easily be modified for use as a role playing oriented miniatures game. At the very least, it has some good ideas.
Ok. So its not really miniatures related, but it’s still really neat. Ravensblight has a downloadable game called Midnight’s Banshee which is a cross between a board game and a foldable paper model. The goal of the game is to collect five skulls from the tombs in the graveyard. But be careful, for you never know which one contains a vampire. There’s a clever spinner under the game board which randomizes the locations of the vampires.
Warpspawn games has a vampire hunting game called Methuselah designed to be played on a chessboard with a custom set of cards. One side plays Dracula and his minions, the other the vampire hunter and his assistants.
I think that some of the ideas could easily be lifted for use in more traditional miniatures games.
Miniature Wargaming is part of the "adventure games" hobby, which includes r ole p laying and board games. Wargamers recreate battles on the tabletop with toy soldiers, like a more complicated game of chess. Models range in height from 6mm to 28mm tall, with 15mm and 25mm being the most popular. There also is a growing interest in toy soldiers and military models, such as the 1/32 and 1/35 scale plastic soldiers from Conte, and Marx.
The most popular miniature wargames are fantasy and science fiction based, such as Warhammer, Warhammer 40K, Warmachine and The Lord of the Rings. World War II games such as Flames of War and Axis and Allies are new favorites. Other favorite historical periods include Napoleonics, the American Civil War, and ancients, such as Romans or Greeks. Other gamers enjoy miniature naval wargames, recreating battles like Trafalgar, Jutland and the Coral Sea.
Hobbyists research historical periods and paint their tiny soldiers in accurate uniforms. Others develop "historically realistic" rules sets or build scale battlefield terrain using model railroad techniques.

Wizards of the Coast produces several lines of pre-painted miniatures games, such as the Star Wars and Dungeons and Dragons miniatures games, and a historical game with pre-painted miniatures: The new Axis and Allies game. Wizkids produces a fantasy collectable miniatures game, such as the Mage Knight and Heroclick fantasy games, the science fiction games MechWarrior and Rocketmen, as well as the quasi-historical Pirates of the Spanish Main.
