Check out Warflag, just do a google search for all your flag needs. If your looking for terrain you could use model RR stuff (ho scale its a little small for buildings but trees are goo) you could also look at Stonemountain miniatures dont have the link but they used to do all kinds of 20mm (close to your 1/72) scale American civil war stuff. If you want to make hills alot of people use what is called blue foam. It is blue or pink insulation foam available at hardware stores. You can sand, cut and paint it with waterbased paints. Also I noticed you mentioned painting wagons, artillery pieces wood color, just an FYI most wagons and artillery were painted in the ACW, not saying you have to paint them that way, just thought you might bwe interested if you did not know. Good luck on your project.

well i’ve been buying a few Osprey books for painting ideas,in fact i’ve already started painting some items,i’m working in 4 areas,American Civil War,American Revolutionary War,Waterloo ajnd Ancients, need to work on some terrain though and these plastic terrains in the big Imex sets won’t cut it.

Asterios,

I could not help being amused by your last post, at the beginning of this thread you were contemplating putting your toe in the water and painting just one period, now within a few posts you have already started into 4 periods, let me tell you that is pretty typical of all of us.
Good luck with your projects.

well painting is coming along now i just need to make a terrain to display them on and find a coating or something since paint is peeling from some parts already on them.
