This novel is one of the toughest projects I’ve ever attempted.

I thought it was really well done. I did spot 2 typos. But I forget where they are now, I will reread & take notes this time.

Its been quite a while since I read it the first time, so I cant quite say on “cleaner & clearer”. but it certainly rivals professional fiction of that genre. I really like the character development & especially like the prelude.  Kind of a twist, thinking you are reading about the main characters when its just the lead in to the main story.
The whole lab assault sequence is fantastic.

I cant wait to see how it turns out.

I’m glad you like it. And I appreciate your encouragement.
I’m going to create Agent Query packets with a cover letter, synopsis, and writing sample of the first 50 pages. I’ll polish up those first 5 chapters as much as possible, then start sending them out. Then I plan to let the rest of RB sit. for a while. I’m too close to it to wield the EDIT scalpel effectively right now.
In the meantime I’ve got that fantasy piece and a couple short story ideas bouncing around.

That sounds sensible (letting it sit a little before editing)

I look forward to seeing your other ideas.

The Agent Query pack sounds like a great idea, especially to use the first 50 pages, they are fantastic.

I just pulled the draft from Authonomy. Because the ms is in the submission process, I’m cutting all the loose ends and focusing. I will post the latest version up to chapter 10 on my blog however.
