Thanks to everyone for the feedback.

Just a note of appreciation for all the feedback and kind words from those who actually took time to read the thing. Even though I’ve been swamped with Real Life obligations I’m working on chapter 29 at the moment and bringing the story to a conclusion.

Once it’s finished, I’m going let it sit until the new year then see if I can’t lace up the gaping plot holes & inconsistancies and polish it for possible publication. Thanks again and wish me luck.

Matakishi stopped formatting & posting Running Black on his site at chapter 15. God bless him, he did a phenominal amount of work and made it look far better than it is, but I’m keeping the final confrontation under wraps until it’s complete.

Just a note to say I finished it Christmas morning at 5:00 a.m. after a couple all night writing sessions. 33 chapters (& an epilogue) and a tad under 85,000 words.

I’m letting it sit - and then I’ll re-work it and try and get it published. That might take a while in itself.

I’ll tell you the end tho… the good guys win.

Problem is I’ve already got ideas bouncing around for a sequel AND I’ve started a fantasy piece.

now about Running Black, WHEN DO WE GET TO SEE THE REST! 

I’m using an online writing course as the occasion to write the 2nd draft now. Tell you this much…I have to give the first 4-5 chapters an enema to get everything in order.

I want to make the piece as good as I can then submit it to publishers. It doesn’t break any new ground at all, but I think I can tighten up the plot, flesh out the characters, and give it a bit more substance. Then I think it’ll be certainly as good as a fair amount of other stuff out there.

So when will you see it? Hopefully in book form, or after my 5th rejection letter.
