Do you folks know of any products made to protect and or give more substance to gaming chits? I have various chits for Ogre/G.E.V. that I would like to put into some sort of container that would allow for visibility of both sides of the chit and give it more ‘substance’ to hold onto and move across a map. (I know this will increase the size of the map needed to play on.) Do such products exist? Thanks for the help!

Twenty years ago at a Origins in Baltimore, I purchased a bunch of plastic stands which held standard sized chits vertically. They were designed for semi-hidden movement. The backs were black so the opposing player couldn’t see what they chits were. The bases were small hexes and they were stackable.

But I have no idea who made them, or if they are still available today.

My suggestion would be to make a color photo copy of the chits, cut them out and then glue them to small squares of wood, such as those found in the woodcraft section of the ladies’ craft stores. You could do the color photocopies for less than a buck a sheet if you watch for sales at the office supply stores.

Thanks for the reply Editor (An answer from top brass to a lowly sergeant, I’m honored grin

I think your suggestion is my best bet. I’ll get new sets for uncut counters copy and enlarge them.
