It is a shame that Easy Eight went out of business. I think they kind of pimped themselves by putting everything on CD instead of paper (my opinion). Not only did you have to shell out to get the game, but then you had to print out all the important stuff. Not to mention the prohibitivly expensive miniature line. Luckily I got my stuff in the early days. Thier site had a lot of great resources-too bad itis gone.

I have the complete set of rules. I keep looking for a different set of WWII rules because I was so disgusted by their money grabbing ploys, but I keep going back to play them. They are a good mix of squad level, while allowing individual heroics. We also very much like their rules for using machine guns to suppress an area.

I feel the same way about Easy Eights money grab. But that does not stop me from playing it. Battelground is the best squad level system i have seen. I agree about the suppression mechanics-I like that ver much. That said I do run a slightly modified version of the rules. I have adopted Mike Erisman’s (Of Pro or Con game club) iniative system, I really speeds up the game & gives it more of an ebb & flow kind of feel.
