I have been experimenting with lots of methods for terrain construction lately and I found oven bake clay to be a very easy way to make terrain like stone walls ect.

Here is a stonewall I made in a relatively short amount of time and with practically no experience. I think I might try making a ruined building next. The figures are in 1:72 scale so even though it doesn’t look quite like stones the scale is small enough that detail isn’t as prominent.

The clay I used took acrylic paints very well too.

Nice start. I bought some modelling clay that dries at room temperture, for my little girl. Then the other day, I found we had some paper embossing plates, one of which has a brick work pattern. A bit too large for normal bricks at 30mm or smaller, but would suit 1/32nd, or make nice walls.
