A Lego-type Minifigs wargaming ruleset that fits on just 2 pages

I figured this fits bets in “Toy Soldiers” category, so here goes… thanks for reading. I enjoy me some Legos, and if you do too, you may be aware that there are some rules out there for having a Lego battle.

I read them and I’m not dissin’, I’m just sayin’. They weren’t my style. So I made my own. It can be used with Legos or any other type of figure that’s a similar scale.

Here is Minifigz. Basically what I wanted to do is have a cross-genre lego-type wargame thing that has the most basic rules, and fits on 2 pages. That’s right, dudes, TWO PAGES. No illustrations, clear rules, just two charts, and .... just… two…pages. You could print it on a single sheet of paper and take it wherever.

Also, you don’t need any record sheets. Everything you need to know is on the minifigz themselves or on the 2-pager rulebook.

You might be asking, well if it’s 2 pages, then it sucks, right? Well not really, it’s actually pretty good. I’ve designed games before, and this one is playtested very thoroughly. So before you add something “you should do it this way cause your way sucks!” just try it ok? It works and it’s fun, and it’s fast. People seem to like it. And I hope you do too. Enjoy!

I painted for Brittains! :D

A pretty pointless post, and not much of a boast, considering what was required…

One summer, for a few extra pennies, I painted for Brittains. I had to cycle from Colchester to Maldon to collect, IIRC, a hundred figures. The figures were prepainted a flesh colour. The figures were just armless. We, the painters, just had to slap on the rest of the paint. I think the whole painting was done in about five goes - red for jacket, blue for trousers, black boots, silver buttons and a red stripe down the trouser leg. Yup, they were guardsmen. I think I might even had a few unpainted, armless figures around somewhere…
